Happy Spooky Season
Yup, it’s my favorite time of the year and I realized I haven’t updated this puppy since June and so much has gone on since then, so sorry if you missed anything cool!
Tomorrow night (the 29th) is “TERRY’S SCARIES” at the Newberry, which will be a live performance/reading/film experience with a spooky campfire vibe, including Indigenized camping food! Four new stories will be read by Indigenous authors Aaron John Curtis, Aaron Golding, Mathilda Zeller and myself (read by Negwess White). I’ll also be premiering my new short film “The Killer Comes Home”. Hope you got tickets because I’m pretty sure it’s sold out. It’ll all be presented by Sven Ghoulash, Indigenous horror icon (props to Rich Koz).
And have you missed the other opportunities to see Shank? Well fear not, you have ONE MORE CHANCE! And it’s a grand one: it will be playing at the legendary MUSIC BOX THEATER in Chicago! November 11 at 6:15pm in the brand new theater 3. There’s limited seating and every other show has sold out, so get your tickets sooner than later on this one!
I know there’s more coming up but I’m hyper focused on these two things right now. That being said, I’ve put more art up on the Big Cartel site if you’re interested, and OH YEAH. Pick up your copy of NEVER WHISTLE AT NIGHT 2: BACK FOR BLOOD if you’re interested in reading my first published prose story! It’s available from any worthy bookseller!
Hang in there, keep on rolling and never lose hope!
Jim
