Was supposed to go to a screening of THE MALTESE FALCON today but feeling under the weather, so here's a shot of the work I have hanging at the SIDESHOW GALLERY on 2219 N. Western Avenue here in Chicago! Stop by the place, it's a wild shop and the art there is pretty killer.

I'd written a very long rebuttal to something nasty a comic creator said about "traditional artists", then deleted it. I figured, what's the diff and who cares. He'll do his thing, I'll do mine.

I thought I would be much more consistent with this! Ah well, now that it's creeping into "Con" season I'll be updating here and letting you know where I'll be. I'm trying not to do as many shows this year, but I'll be at the usual ones. First up will be Northwest Indiana on Feb 20, I'll post a link down the road. Most likely. In the meanwhile, here's a LOTR piece I did just for the hell of it.
It's a new year, so here's some more Spirit! As I said, he's my absolute favorite to draw... and there's nothing wrong with that.
Once again, my favorite to draw - so I did this up for the fun of it. Sometimes waiting for a gig to come through gives you the opportunity to remember why you love drawing so much!

Here's the opening double page spread to THE CROW: SKINNING THE WOLVES #1, inks only. I'll try to post some b&w versions of things you may have only seen colored. I hand lettered this series, to highly diverse reaction. Personally I prefer it organic, but it's arduous and time consuming and I totally get why it's rarely done.

COMA D CLOWN is my oldest, most hated friend. He's followed me since college and appears where and whenever he seems to please, taking me hostage until his latest chapter has been represented. What a clown!
